As part of this year’s Pro Musical Rhodos Festival, German tenor Benjamin Bruns, soloist at the Vienna State Opera, Dresden Semper Opera, Bavarian State Opera, as well as the Salzburg Easter Festival and the Bayreuth Festival, will offer a vocal masterclass.

The vocal masterclass will take place from 27th - 30th July, 10:00 h -13.00 h.

Participation in the masterclass for the selected active participants will be free of charge thanks to the generous donation of the Municipality of Rhodes and the State of South Aegean and the collaboration of the Corelli Conservatory, Rhodes.

However, as we deeply believe in the importance of ensemble singing, the active participants will be obliged to prepare and sing the chorus part of G. Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle.

Rehearsals for the participants chorus will take place from 27th - 31st July in the evening under the surveillance of Prof. Peter Sefcik.

For the rehearsals and performance of the Petite Messe solennelle the Bärenreiter Urtext edition will be used.

Participants are expected to provide a copy of their prepared pieces for the pianist.

The active participants will have the opportunity to present the results of the masterclass in a matinée concert on 31st July.

The concert featuring Rossini’s
Petite Messe solennelle with the active participants taking on the chorus part, while the solos will be sung by a cast of internationally acclaimed artists, will take place on the 1st of August.

The festival does not provide flights or accommodation for the participants of the masterclass, however the festival offers to book hotels at a special rate.

Ως μέρος του φετινου φεστιβάλ Pro Musica Rhodos, ο Γερμανός τενόρος, Benjamin Bruns, σολίστας στην Κρατική Όπερα της Βιέννης, Σεμπερ Όπερα της Δρέσδης, Κρατική Όπερα της Βαυαρίας οπως επίσης του Πασχαλινού Φεστιβάλ Σάλτσπουργκ και Φεστιβάλ Μπαϊροητ, θα δώσει ένα masterclass λυρικού τραγουδιού.

Το masterclass λυρικού τραγουδιού θα λάβει χώρα από την 27η - 30η Ιουλίου, 10:00 - 13:00.

Η συμμετοχή στο masterclass για τους εκλεγμένους συμμετέχοντες θα είναι αφιλοκερδής χάρη στη γεναιώδωρη δωρεά του Δήμου Ρόδου και της Περιφέρειας Νοτίου Αιγαίου καθώς και τη συνεργασία του Ωδείου Corelli, της Ρόδου.

Ωστόσο, καθώς πιστεύουμε βαθειά στην σημασία του τραγουδιού σχημάτων (ensemble singing) οι ενεργοί συμμετέχοντες θα είναι υποχρεωμένοι να τραγουδήσουν το χορικό μέρος της Petite Messe solennelle του G. Rossini.

Οι πρόβες για τους συμμετέχοντες στη χορωδία θα λάβουν χώρα τα απογεύματα 27 - 31 Ιουλίου υπό την επίβλεψη του Prof. Peter Sefcik.

Για τις πρόβες και την συναυλία της Petite Messe solennelle θα χρησιμοποιηθεί η έκδοση Bärenreiter Urtext.

Οι συμμετέχοντες οφείλουν να προβάλουν αντίτυπο των έργων που έχουν προετοιμάσει για τον πιανίστα.

Οι ενεργοί συμμετέχοντες θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να παρουσιάσουν το αποτέλεσμα του masterclass σε ένα matinée στις 31 Ιουλίου.

Η συναυλία με την Petite Messe solennelle, με τους ενεργούς συμμετέχοντες να λαμβάνουν τη θέση χορωδίας, ενώ τα μέρη των σολιστών θα τραγουδηθούν απο διεθνώς καταξιωμένους καλλιτέχνες, θα λάβει χώρα την 1η Αυγούστου.

Το φεστιβάλ δεν προσφέρει ταξιδιωτικά εισητήρια ή διαμονή για τους συμμετέχοντες στο masterclass, ωστόσο το φεστιβάλ προσφέρεται να κλείσει ξενοδοχεία σε ειδικές τιμές.

Το masterclass λυρικούς τραγουδιού θα πραγματοποιηθεί στα Αγγλικά.
