The soprano Lena Kutzner started her singing career as a soloist in the Mädchenchor of her hometown, in Hannover, of which she was member from 1999 until 2007. There she recieved her first vocal instruction by Prof Gudrun Schröfel.

She continued her studies at the Musikhochschule Hannover, under Prof Carol Richardson-Smith. In her time there she had the opportunity to work also with Prof Justus Zeyen, in Lied Interpretation.

In 2008 she toured China with her former Mädchenchor and a year later she made her debut as Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosí fan tutte at the Braunschweig Classix- Festival. Further engagements were soon to follow in roles such as Hermia in Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Nancy in Albert Herring; Nicklausse in Offenbach’s Hoffmann’s Tales; Third Lady as well as Papagena in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

In 2011 she sang and recorded the role of Anna in Andreas Tarkmann’s Didos Geheimnis for the premiere and first recording of the work in Hannover. A year later she made another China Tour with the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.

From 2013 until 2018 she was member of the ensemble of the Landestheater Neustrelitz, where she sang among others Nedda in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Angelina in Rossini’s La Cenerentola, Suzuki in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Nancy in Flotow’s Martha, Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel and Gretel.

In 2017 she won the first prize at the International Competition Adriana Maliponte, in Milano. The same year she was also awarded the Verbeugung (“The Bow”) Theatre Prize in Neustrelitz.

In 2018 she recorded the title role in Holsts Chamber Opera Savitri with the Mädchenchor Hannover and the Arte Ensemble for the Coviello Label.

In the season 2018/19 she made her debut at the Staatstheater Cottbus. There she has appeared in the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni as well as the title role in Lincke’s Frau Luna.

Περισσότερες προσκλήσεις ακολούθησαν με ρόλους όπως Hermia στο Όνειρο Θερινής Νυκτος του και Nancy στο Albert Herring του Benjamin Britten· Nicklausse στα Παραμύθια του Hoffmann του Offenbach· καθώς επίσης Τρίτη Κυρία και Papagena στον Μαγικό Αυλό του Mozart.

Το 2011 τραγούδησε και ηχογράφησε το ρόλο της Anna στο Didos Geiheimnis του Andreas Tarkmann για την πρεμιέρα και πρώτη ηχογράφηση του έργου στο Αννόβερο. Ένα χρόνο αργότερα περιόδευσε και πάλι την κοινά με το Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.

Από το 2013 έως το 2018 ήταν μέρος του ensemble του Θεάτρου του Neustrelitz, όπου τραγούδησε μεταξύ άλλων το ρόλο της Nedda στο Pagliacci του Leoncavallo, Angelina στη Σταχτοπούτα του Rossini, Suzuki Madama Butterfly του Puccini, Nancy στο Martha του Flotow , Donna Elvira στο Don Giovanni του Mozart και Hänsel στο Hänsel und Gretel του Humperdinck.

Το 2017 κέρδισε το πρώτο βραβείο στο Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Andriana Maliponte, στο Μιλάνο. Το ίδιο έτος τιμήθηκε με το βραβείο Verbeugung (“Υπόκλιση”) του Θεάτρου του Neustrelitz.

Το 2018 ηχογράφησε το ρόλο τίτλου στην όπερα δωματίου Savitri του Holst με την Mädchenchor Hannover και το Arte Ensemble για τη δισκογραφική Coviello.

Κατά τη σεζόν 2018/19 έκανε το ντεμπούτο της στη Κρατικό Θέατρο του Cottbus. Εκεί εμφανίστηκε ως Donna Elvira στο Don Giovanni του Mozart καθώς επίσης στο ρόλο τίτλου Frau Luna του Lincke.
